Unilam 1418 is an unsaturated polyester resin that is designed specifically for glass lamination. It has good tensile strength, and is a tough, flexible resin. It can be used for the manufacture of safety, security (anti-bandit) and acoustic glasses. In conjunction with Uniguard 0518 resin it can be used to manufacture polycarbonate-clad glass panels for bullet resistance.

Unilam 1418 comprises of three components that can be mixed by hand without the need for any capital equipment, and since it cures at room temperature, there are no energy costs involved. Because the manufacturing process is very simple and quick, it takes up very little space.

Unilam 1418 allows the customer to manufacture laminated glass to any size, any shape, using almost any type of glass. Float, sheet, toughened, heat strengthened, bent, curved, mirrored, fused, patterned and wired glasses can all be easily laminated.

Unilam 1418 has a long shelf life

By mixing in the range of colour pigments with Unilam 1418, it is possible to make glass to almost any colour.
